ABOUT ME

Hi there,

My name is Lee and I teach. I learn. I seek to inspire. I work to be a great Dad. I have done pretty much everything short of lighting myself on fire to engage my students and colleagues in their learning. Just ask. I am a primary French Immersion teacher with the District School Board of Niagara, with a focus in mathematics, second language acquisition, arts and educational technology.

I graduated from McMaster University with a B.A. in Religious Studies and Psychology. I attended the Faculty of Education at Brock University where I was awarded the Don Galbraith Award from the Science Teachers Association of Ontario and the Distinguished Graduate Award for Primary/Junior.

In 2014, I was hired by Crabtree Publishing House to consult on their "Get Connected To Digital Literacy Series," which supports young readers in gaining an understanding of computers, networks, programs and applications, and coding. Furthering my learning outside the classroom, I am also an eLearning Specialist with Brock University supporting the development of their two year teacher education program.

As an educator, I believe that curiosity, wonder and passion are defining qualities of imaginative minds and great teachers; that restlessness and discontent are vital things; and that intense experience and struggle instruct us in ways that less intense emotions can never do.

"Our chief want is someone who will inspire us to be what we know we can be." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

I seek to be that person...
